THE FAUVES TUTORS
“The best tutors I have found, met, worked and shared my passion with.”
“I wanted to thank you for your teaching. You taught me the ropes of studio production in an inspiring way that has been part of my journey since. I have just released my first EP which I feel has embedded within it a deep expression of myself; and I have, at least in part, you to thank for inspiring me so early on to find my sound, and for teaching the tools of the trade to such a great standard.”
“You are one of the most caring tutors I have ever met. The patience and precision with which you teach the subject has inspired and helped so many students get around DAW with proficiency, and they’re really happy they had you to guide them. I just wanted you to know that”

Master in Music Production, synthesis and sound mangling“I wish there was more time for us to learn from you as I believe that you are the greatest teacher I have ever had. Your method of teaching actually reaches us and it’s forced me to think about why we do things in our mixes or anything else for that matter.”
“My time studying Audio Production was made all the more valuable by having Nikolay as a lecturer. I have not met someone with greater knowledge regarding many aspects of audio recording, engineering, and production, and the enthusiasm he conveys while teaching and offering his time to assist is inspiring and extremely appreciated. Not only did I learn a lot from him due to his experience, knowledge, and eagerness to both learn and educate, but he has also been incredibly kind in his efforts to help introduce people to the industry.”
Nikolay Georgiev

Master in audio technology and recording“Nikolay has a genuine enthusiasm for working with sound and a solid understanding of principles associated with it. Over the 2 years of working with Nik, I have gained valuable knowledge that will no doubt take me on the right path to a better career. Nik is great to work with — a very open mind that is willing to take on board ideas and allow people time to understand the message he is conveying. He doesn’t use his position to stand above his students but more so works alongside them to ensure the best possible understanding of the subject matter. I thank Nikolay for his time and wisdom and wish him the very best in his future endeavours.”

“I just wanted to send this while fresh in my mind- thank you for today’s session- it was awesome! I learned so much, not only about pseudo mastering but also about the mix and its interaction with mastering to be honest and yet more on that methodical approach I need to adopt where I identify the problem, take a bit more time to properly diagnose it (my weak point) and then reach for the appropriate tools to come to the right solution (a never ending work in progress I suspect !!)
It was definitely super eye opening and also in how I communicate ‘problems’ too to be understood properly- a really fascinating session! ”
Master in Mixing Techniques and ApproachesAlessandro Favero
Alessandro is a mixing engineer and educator based in London, specialising in electric and acoustic music across rock and its wider culture.
His studio background was built working alongside Alan Moulder (Nine Inch Nails, The Killers, Foo Fighters), Flood, Fab Dupont (Shakira, Jennifer Lopez), Michael Wagener (Metallica, Ozzy Osbourne), Ricky Damian (Jorja Smith, Dua Lipa) and Tommaso Colliva (Muse, Måneskin). He holds an MA in Commercial Music Production from London and a studied classical piano at the Conservatorio di Venezia.
As an educator, Alessandro has worked with over 300 students across cohorts, small groups and one-to-one sessions over six years of teaching — both privately and at well-established educational institutions in London. His approach is built around a single conviction: that the goal of teaching is not to hand students a set of techniques, but to give them the listening skills and critical framework to keep learning independently - long after the course ends. As his own piano teacher once told him: "I cannot play the piano for you. I can't even teach your hands to play the piano. All I can do is teach your brain how to teach your hands how to play the piano." That idea remains the foundation of everything he teaches.
His students fall into two broad groups: self-producing artists and producers who feel technically stuck, drawn to mixing but unsure how to evaluate their own decisions; and aspiring professional mixing engineers who are serious about the craft and looking for rigorous, focused development. Alessandro works with both to change not just what they do, but how they hear.
“I really enjoyed the module and I mean that sincerely. I am experiencing for the first time being somewhat satisfied after finishing a mix! Can you believe that?! I’m feeling a little more confident and look forward to more mixing.”
